beach body plan

As summer rolls in, it’s time to start thinking about getting your perfect summer body. You shouldn’t just think about your summer body, but instead, create the ultimate summer body plan.

To create your perfect summer body plan, you need to consider the three pillars of health: fitness, eating habits, and mental health. Without these three pillars, you will not be able to achieve your perfect summer body.

You could get close to your summer body goals, but for the perfect summer body, you need to follow a summer body plan, and luckily, I am going to share all that has worked for me!!

Along with getting your perfect summer body, you will also gain mental clarity that you didn’t even know that you needed. This is what happened to me. In the attempt to get clear skin, I unleashed so many different benefits to life that has me never wanting to go back.

This post is all about the perfect summer body plan so you can achieve your summer body goals.

Workouts

Workouts is the first pillar of getting your summer body. This goes without saying, but if you never workout, how will you achieve the muscle necessary to have the summer body of your dreams?

Even if you don’t want a super muscular body, and your goals are to tone your body, gaining muscle is the secret to toning your body. All toning is, is gaining muscle that makes your body more defined. For this reason, gaining muscle and toning go hand in hand.

On the flip side, if your goals are to gain muscle such as your glutes (booty), then working out is an absolute must! Something I have learned about gaining muscle, is that consistency is more important than doing a few hard workouts.

1. Glute Based Workouts

For all of the girls out there, who want their summer booty, you should really consider some glute based workouts.

Some glute based workouts include hip thrusts, glute bridges, Bulgarian split squat, side-lying. hip adjunction, lateral band walk, step up, lunge, and side lunges.

The key to getting your summer body and summer booty is consistency. You can do super hard workouts, but if you’re not consistent in them then you will never get any progress.

2. Core Workouts

If you want a flat stomach this summer, then you need to add core workouts to your summer body plan. Although you cannot achieve a flat stomach without eating healthy as well, doing core workouts are essential to your flat stomach status.

There are many different goals that you can achieve by doing core workouts. If you want stronger side abs, then you can do Russian twists, bicycle crunches, bird dogs, plank rotations, and heel taps. If you want stronger middle abs then aim for planks, crunches, flutter kicks, sit-ups, and reverse crunches.

As I mentioned earlier, even though your eating habits go hand-in-hand with having a flat stomach, you shouldn’t miss out on core workouts. Core workouts give you the strong base that you need.

3. Arm Based Workouts

Along with your glutes and core, you need to consider arm based workouts! If you. want skinnier arms, or just more toned arms then now is time to accomplish this.

If you’re nervous about getting bulk arms or “man arms”, you should know that as women it’s extremely difficult to actually get this. Because out bodies are made differently than men, we would need to train A LOT and take A LOT of supplements to achieve this.

Therefore you shouldn’t be scared of getting too much muscle, and strengthening your arms will only make them more toned.

Healthy Eating

Now that you know how to tone your body and gain muscle, you should know that you will not be able to see the full progress unless you eat correctly. There’s so many aspects to eating from eating to gain muscle to eating to lose fat, but doing a mixture of both will be beneficial as well.

If you want to gain muscle (this is what I’m working on now), then you’ve probably heard it a thousands times that you NEED to prioritize protein, which I will get into later.

If you want to lose weight, then you need to eat all whole foods. We’ll get more into the type of foods to eat as this blog post continues.

1. Prioritize Protein

What does protein have to do with the perfect summer body? If you want to tone your body this summer, then you NEED to intake more protein.

Protein is essential for muscle growth because it’s the primary component of muscle tissue and provides the building blocks for every cell in the body.

So if you want your summer body plan to have getting tone with it, then you need to utilize protein.

2. Stick To Whole Foods

Along with toning your body, if you’re looking to lose some weight then you need to stick to whole foods. It wasn’t until I gave up all white, sugary carbs, until I realized the magnitude of this.

For me, I struggled with excessive bloating and TERRIBLE acne. The ONLY solution that healed me, was giving up all white sugar that is secretly attached to carbs such as white bread, noodles, potatoes, pastries, and more.

This forced me to eat a lot of more salads and meat, which ended up making me lose 10 pounds! Losing weight wasn’t part of my goal, but along with feeling so energized, no bloating, and very clear skin, I felt absolutely amazing.

3. Eliminate Sensitive Foods

Along with not eating sugary foods, which I will always believe is much needed, you should pay close attention to your body and notice what you are sensitive to.

This can happen in many different ways such as journaling how you feel after foods, or eliminating a lot of foods and slowly reintroducing foods to see the impact.

For me, I noticed that both gluten and dairy made my stomach super bloated and gave me painful, big acne sores. To be honest, I rebelled a little bit because I so didn’t want to give up gluten and dairy! But eventually enough is enough.

Once your figure out what foods you’re sensitive to that make your bloated or not feel so well, you are bound to drop a few pounds and your inflammation will reduce.

4. Eat Seasonally

A way to make eating healthy fun, is to eat all of the seasonal fruits and vegetables. Not only is it fun, but in-season fruits and vegetables are so much healthier to consume than not.

Some examples of seasonal fruits are strawberries, blueberries and mangos for the spring, berries and peaches for summer, apples for the fall, and grapefruit for the wintertime. These are just a few to name, there are many others as well.

Mental Health

The last section of the three pillars of health is mental health. This is debatably the most important aspect, because you cannot do the other sections (workout or eat healthy) without having the proper mental health.

Mental health can be easy, and it can be very, very hard. Like anything, it comes easier for some people as it does to others, but I bet you that most people are not as happy as they might seem (do not even get me started with social media).

On social media, everyone looks happy so it’s easy to think that everyone else is healthy 100% of the time. In fact, 100% of the time, that is not true. People have their ups and downs and tend to only show that on social media.

So if being happy is hard for you (like it use to be for me), then you’re in luck, because I am going to share all of the best ways that I became so happy!!

1. Meditate

Before you say “meditation is boring” or “meditation is not for me”, hear me out. I use to think the same thing, but after giving it a try, meditation actually CHANGED my life.

There are so many different forms of meditating from guided meditations to meditation classes to prayer. For me, I dove into my spirituality in my faith, and this was next level. Unleashing the rosaries power really helped me mentally and helped me feel like I was helping others.

Whether you’re religious or just need some spirituality in your life, take the chance and try it for a month, it will guarantee to change your life.

2. Spend Time In The Sun

Do not underestimate vitamin D!! There’s a reason why people who are not happy stay inside and mop around, because the people outside are the ones living it up!

Think about it, have you ever come home from a walk and actually been more sad? Maybe you’re sad because the walk’s over, but it’s seriously such a lifter-upper to your mood!

This post was all about the best summer body plan to get the perfect summer body.
