Cranberry Sauce with Honey
Make a fresh cranberry sauce using honey or maple syrup instead of refined sugar. Add a hint of orange zest for a burst of flavor.
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- Pinch of cinnamon optional
In a saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, orange juice, and zest.
Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
Add a pinch of cinnamon if desired, and let cool before serving.
