Gluten-Free Slow Cooker Beef Stew
This stew is the ultimate comfort food, slow-cooked to perfection. It’s a wonderful one-pot gluten-free meal, and leftovers are even better the next day!

- 2 lbs beef stew meat
- 4 large carrots peeled and chopped
- 4 potatoes peeled and chopped
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 4 cups beef broth gluten-free
- 1 cup red wine optional
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce gluten-free
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp cornstarch for thickening
Brown the beef stew meat in a large pan on medium heat. Transfer to a slow cooker.
Add carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic on top of the beef.
In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, wine, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the beef and veggies.
Add bay leaves and cook on low for 7 hours.
After 7 hours, remove ½ cup of broth, mix in cornstarch, and add back to the stew to thicken. Let cook for an additional 30-40 minutes.
Remove bay leaves and serve!
